Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

First Fawn
This fawn arrived on Friday and is the first fawn of the season. He is healthy and will be here all summer. We raise between 6 to 12 fawns each year. Sometimes they are true orphans and other times they are mistakenly “kidnapped”. A doe will leave her fawn alone for several hours while she is foraging. Please call us if you have concerns BEFORE rescuing a fawn found sitting alone peacefully. Status: A total of 7 fawns were raised and released this season.
