Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Entangled Virginia Opossum
He arrived last week after being found wandering around in the road. He was rescued and brought to us. You can see the series of wire cables that were tangled around his neck and abdomen. It seems to have been a crude harness. He has lacerations and constriction injuries that are being treated for infection. No idea if someone was trying to keep him as pet (which is illegal) or if they just wanted to hurt him. Fortunately, he was found and is now resting comfortably in our ICU. Status: Released
