Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Babies are arriving! It can be tempting to keep these cute baby animals and care for them yourself. The top two images are of a healthy baby, brought in promptly to our center.

The bottom images show a squirrel of the same age that someone tried to feed for several days before surrendering him to us. Sadly, he did not survive. You can see how malnourished and dehydrated he is and while they meant well - it is both illegal and was not in the best interest of the patient.

While we know that the presenter had good intentions, but the care and feeding these wild patients requires training, access to appropriate food and medical care, and our staff are trained and licensed to care for all species of wildlife.

We are open daily and here to answer your questions about wildlife concerns as well.
