Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Northern Saw-whet Owlets

Three Northern Saw-whet owlets were displaced when a rotten tree fell unexpectedly, and they were on the ground. Unfortunately, one had a fractured leg which was severely damaged. There was no blood flow to the extremity and therefore he had to be compassionately euthanized. The other two are doing well though and were eventually joined by a third that was alone at another facility. Featherhaven in Enumclaw transferred the lone owl to us, so he could be raised with the new "siblings".
