Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. Northern Saw-whet owl
This little guy was hurt when he struck a window. He is being treated for head trauma. Many people are unaware that we have owls this small in our area. Sometimes they even think they are "babies" - no, they are fully feathered adult owls - just pocket-sized and fierce. Status - released.
