Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Turkey Vulture
This young Turkey Vulture was found in a field unable to fly. He was brought to us and we discovered that many of his feathers were damaged. It looks like he was attacked, but fortunately it does not appear that there are any serious injuries. He was thin and very happy to get a meal! Status: Transferred. We sent him to Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue in Pt. Townsend to spend the winter with two other vultures in their care. They will all be released in the spring.
