Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Bear Buddies

We received another Black Bear from WDFW a few days ago and he is in good health. He was orphaned and see repeatedly for a week or so before he was captured. Dr. Kovar examined him and he is recovering from sedation in this photo. We also had the bear we profiled a couple of weeks ago returned to us to be housed with this bear. WDFW made the decision to have us house these two local bears here to make their eventual release easier. They will overwinter with us until they are bigger and ready for release and there is an abundant food source available for them. Status: released.
