Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. Orphaned Baby Raccoon
This baby was found out of the tree on the ground. The homeowner tried to get mom to take him back, but after more than 24 hours it was clear that was not going to happen. He was brought to us this weekend and is about a week old. We are treating him for pneumonia and hope he will gain his strength and thrive! Status: transferred to Whatcom Humane Wildlife for continued care with more raccoons of a similar age.
