Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Luecistic Northern Flicker

By Sarvey Wildlife / Monday, June 15, 2020 /

Last week, one of our volunteers brought in a juvenile Northern flicker. It was a fledgling and crows were trying to attack her. The parents were there and the flicker was not hurt, so we put her back and reunited her with the family. This was an unusual leucistic bird and we thought we'd share her unique coloration. Status: re-nested.
