Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

This hawk was found on the ground injured and brought to us. He has a broken wing and our vet, Dr. Kovar, surgically pinned the bones to stabilize them in the hopes that he will fully heal. He is in our ICU and not happy about getting his medication today. Status: Euthanized. Sadly, despite our best efforts, after surgery to heal the fractured bones, he was unable to fly adequately for release. We had to euthanize him after months of care.
