Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

This cub arrived today after being rescued in Yakima. Sadly, the mother was killed. She was contained and brought to us by the Yakima Nation. We will be working with PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society to be sure she gets a buddy as soon as she’s done with her quarantine period. They have taken in a couple of burned bear cubs recently which is keeping them busy. So, we are glad to be able to help this little one. Status: Died in Care. Sadly, this cub passed away in early December from unknown causes. She was in good condition and necropsy findings were inconclusive.
