Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Entangled Owl

This Great Horned Owl was rescued from the Mt Vernon area after she got stuck in netting over a chicken coop. It took a while to cut away all the netting, she really twisted herself all up. There were some lacerations and trauma to her foot, but she is doing much better. Her expressions haven’t changed much - she’s pretty angry about everything. We don’t take it personally. Status: Released
