Looking Ahead to Giving Tuesday: A Year of Growth and Gratitude

As we near the end of the year, it’s hard to believe just how much has happened this year. 2025 has truly been one of our busiest years ever. Not only have we already surpassed last year’s patient numbers [we have cared for more than 3,280 patients], but during all that activity, we successfully moved into our new wildlife hospital.

We are deeply grateful for the generous support you show us year after year. #Giving Tuesday starts tomorrow and we invite you to help us close out the year strong. We are hoping to raise the final $100,000 needed to complete key Phase Two projects that will expand and improve our lifesaving work.

We hope you will join us starting December 1st for our virtual holiday auction, Paws and Claus. By the time this hits your inbox, the auction will be LIVE! It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up adorable holiday merchandise, shop for unique gifts, and support wildlife. You can skip the mall crowds, and don’t worry, we’ll make sure your items arrive in time for the holidays! All proceeds will help us reach our Phase Two goal. We also are happy to share the video produced by the Tulalip Tribes highlighting our efforts. The video is embedded in the auction page, click here to visit the page.

Thank you for your support and we wish you all a Happy Holiday Season!

What A Difference A Day Makes....

Holiday 2025

Often patients arrive after finding themselves in challenging situations. Top Images: A Northwestern Salamander was found covered in wet leaf debris that was tangled up in pet hair. He looks so much better in the second photo! Bottom Images: This Virginia Opossum was quite a mess. He fell into a dirty bucket at someone’s home. He was suffering from a fractured tail and was quite dirty, but after a month in care, he was released.

Top Left: One of five Orphaned Northern Flying Squirrels that will be overwintering with us. As they arrived late in September, we cannot release them until early next spring. Top Right: This Northern Alligator Lizard was found stuck to a glue trap. He spent several weeks in care and was released late this fall. Bottom Right: One of our Orphaned Douglas's Squirrels enjoyed a Jack o' Lantern before they were released. Bottom Left: Our Orphaned Black Tailed Deer were suspicious of us as we prepared for their capture and release last month.
