Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Orphaned Red-tailed Hawk
He was found on the ground and was thin and slightly dehydrated. Not sure what happened to cause him to be out of nest, but he is doing well and now in our care. Status: Transferred. Our colleagues at Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue have an adult Red-tailed hawk that is a surrogate. He will be raised by a foster mom and then released!
