Patient Updates
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Barred Owl
This Barred owl arrived on 11/9 - it was hit by a truck. A citizen who witnessed the strike was able to stop and contain the owl and bring it to us. It sustained head trauma - had blood in its ears, mouth, and some trauma to one eye. These things are resolving well now and we hope to move it outside soon for flight conditioning and adaptation to the elements. We hope to release it when we are sure it is strong and healthy enough to hunt and fly. Status - released.
