Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

We have 3 orphaned pups at the moment. One arrived on 7/1/16, and was hit by a car. He had to have surgery to pin his fractured leg. He is doing well, eating, and we are hopeful that the bone will heal nicely.

Two other pups arrived on 7/11/16. One was a transfer from the rehab center A Soft Place to Land down in Pierce county. It was orphaned, and severely dehydrated and emaciated. The other one was caught yesterday running around in Lake Stevens off Hwy 9.

Both the new pups have mange and are quite thin but, they are responding well to treatment. Until the surgical pup heals, he will remain in isolation. We hope that all three of these boys will soon be growing and thriving together in our coyote pen until they can be released. Status - released.
