Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Snowshoe Hare Hit By Car

This little one was hit by a car not too far from us on Burn Rd. The accident caused head trauma, wounds on the top of her head and rear, and it fractured its shoulder. While she had a lot of strikes against her - this is one very feisty hare!

She has beautiful coloring and she would attack and "punch" anyone trying to care for her. The fractured shoulder has healed and she has a strong kick and great movement. We have finally moved her from the ICU to an outdoor enclosure to re-acclimate to the elements. We hope to release her soon. Status - released.
