Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

This juvenile Purple Martin came out of the nest just a few days too early to fly. It arrived on 8/17 and now has almost all its feathers and should be released soon. We don't even remember the last time we saw one of these as a patient.

These large swallows were once extremely rare to find in our area, but they are making a recovery in the Puget Sound. You can read more about these pretty purple birds hereStatus - released.
