Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

"Baby" Peregrine Falcon

This young falcon came out of a nest too early in downtown Seattle and was picked up by the Seattle Police Dept. and taken to a vet hospital before being brought to us.

Apparently, he was being handled by people on the street and hand fed, so the officers were afraid someone would "kidnap" him or he would otherwise be hurt and they had to pick him up and get him somewhere safe.

Status - transferred. We discovered that his sibling had been picked up days earlier under similar circumstances and was a PAWS Wildlife. He went to PAWS to be reunited and plans were in the works to re-nest on the building with the parents.
