Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

This small species of duck are fish eaters. These 4 were part of a larger group of 6 orphaned mergansers. Their mother was hit by a car on 6/13 and sadly, within 24 hours of arrival two of their siblings passed away due to stress and trauma.

However, the remaining four siblings are doing well and continuing to grow and develop their flight feathers. We will continue to care for them until they are able to be released back into the wild again. Status - released.
