Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Limping Mallard
This poor little guy was found limping and not getting around very well. He is a juvenile mallard and the presenter did not know why he was hurt. We discovered the problem. He had a rubber band wrapped around his neck and under his leg. This forced him into a hunched position and made it impossible for him to move his leg normally. He had developed a wound on the leg and some bruising, but everything healed well and he was released! #happyending
