Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

We received a few calls about this hawk on the afternoon of 1/21/19. Several people reported seeing this hawk on the freeway (I-5) near Smokey Point in Arlington. He had been hit by a car, but his location on the freeway made the situation difficult and dangerous. We cannot send our staff onto the freeway to pick up animals. Someone did stop and pick him up though and they brought him to us for care. He is being treated for head trauma, but slowly is improving. Status: Released
