Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

On February 24, we received a call about a Bald eagle on the ground unable to fly away. Our volunteers, Kevin and Zach went to rescue him. Radiographs confirmed he was shot and the ulna is fractured. This is a federal crime. Eagles are a protected species. We believe the injuries will heal and hope he can be released. He was also banded and so we know he is a male born in 2017. Status: Released
