Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

This guy was found on the ground in Mt. Vernon unable to fly. He arrived thin, weak, and unsteady. Our vet, Dr. Kovar examined him and took radiographs and there is nothing significantly wrong. He is responding well to supportive care. Status: euthanized. Unfortunately, he never gained weight and started to show signs of serious abnormalities that were either genetic or due to nutritional complications before he was found.
