Patient Profiles
Every day new patients arrive at our facility. We see over 3,000 patients annually. Over 135 different species come to us for care. In an effort to tell their stories of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we try to share some of their stories here. You can also see posts on our social media pages.

Injured Red-tailed hawk
This hawk was recently found in Mt. Vernon. He was in a driveway, unable to fly off. We discovered some internal bleeding and he has a broken foot. The bleeding has resolved and he is getting stronger. Can you see the ball wrap on his foot? This unique method of casting allows us to stabilize his fracture to allow it to heal properly.
