Patient Profiles

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Injured Red-tailed hawk

By Sarvey Wildlife / Monday, August 24, 2020 /

This hawk was recently found in Mt. Vernon. He was in a driveway, unable to fly off. We discovered some internal bleeding and he has a broken foot. The bleeding has resolved and he is getting stronger. Can you see the ball wrap on his foot? This unique method of casting allows us to stabilize his fracture to allow it to heal properly. Status: pending
