Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

This is going to be a COLD week and if you are feeding hummingbirds in the area, you can also put up a heat lamp outside to keep the feeders from freezing and provide some additional warmth for these guys. He will be fine and we will release him after the cold snap. There is a video on our YouTube channel of him flying around his cage. Status: Died. Sadly, he passed away shortly after this posting. He was likely too stressed from his ordeal.
