Patient Updates

Every day new patients arrive at our facility. In an effort to tell their story of survival and highlight the diverse number of species that we rehabilitate, we highlight a new patient each week. Some of these are individuals, others are orphaned siblings. As their cases progress - we will update the outcome - our hope is that many, many of these patients are released!

Squirrels!! - we have just started to see the next wave of orphaned babies and have 41 Eastern Gray Squirrels in our mammal nursery right now. If you find an orphaned squirrel (or any wild animal) contact us to get it into care. Every year people attempt to rehab these animals themselves, but they must be raised with other squirrels to prevent them from habituating. They need specific formula and often medication for infections or parasites. It is illegal to raise or keep wildlife without a permit and our staff have the experience to care for over 135 different species. Thanks to everyone that support our efforts and help by bringing in these animals for a second chance at a wild life. Status: Released
